Hello everyone! My name is Sarahi Castillo-Cruz and my pronouns are she/her/hers. I grew up in San Diego, CA and I am currently a sophomore at CMC majoring in International Relations with a concentration in Latin America. This is my first year as a CARE fellow and in co-leading the PEER Conference. Apart from my work at CARE, I am also involved in Questbridge, Mi Gente, and ASCMC’s Senate.

I am beyond excited to see the wonderful work that will arise and be inspired by this year’s conference!

Hey everyone!! My name is Richa Parikh (she/her) and I’m from Niles, IL. I am a sophomore at CMC majoring in PPE with a legal studies sequence. This is my first year working on the PEER committee and I am extremely excited to be putting together this amazing event! On campus, I’m involved with the CARE Center, APASA, and the Student Philanthropy Council. I am also an intern at Courageous Conversation Global Foundation (who will be speaking at the conference, be sure to check them out!).

My name is Yesenia Rodriguez (she/her/hers) and I am a junior preparing for a major in International Relations and a sequence in Leadership Studies. I was born and raised in Philadelphia. Along with being a Care Center Fellow, I am also an Institute Fellow at the Kravis Leadership Institute on campus. I am very excited about this year’s virtual PEER Conference as we have worked so hard on it all year. I am especially looking forward to meeting more people interested in activism at the conference.

Hello, I am Neyda Cujcuj Xoyon (she/hers/ella), and I’m from South Central Los Angeles, California. Currently, I’m a fourth-year at CMC majoring in International Relations and Chicanx/Latinx Studies. This is my third year working on the PEER committee. On campus, I am part of the Jumpstart team, where we work with pre-school children, the senior cabinet, and the CARE center. For this year’s conference, I am excited to see the conference one more time before I graduate, and I am excited to see our student organizers – Nobody Fails.

Hi everyone! My name is Athulya Nath (she/her/hers) and I’m from North Las Vegas, NV. I’m a junior at CMC majoring in Government and Philosophy with a Legal Studies sequence. This is my third year working on the PEER Committee.

On campus, I’m involved with the CARE Center, CMC Advocates, CMC ROTC, and the 5C Women’s Volleyball team. I am also an intern at Moonlight Hub Consulting.

I’m excited to meet everyone at the conference this year!

Hi, my name is Sobechukwu Uwajeh, and I am a senior at Claremont McKenna College, majoring in Public Policy and Leadership Studies. At CMC, I am a member of the Model UN Team, and amongst the leadership of our QuestBridge Chapter and Black Student Association. I also serve as the current Senior Class President at CMC. I am a passionate advocate for Black, Latinx, low-income, and immigrant rights. Specifically, I imagine a world in which our political systems can display a radical sense of love and grace for all people. This is my second year organizing the PEER Conference!

Hi guys! My name is Somu Amujala (he/his) and I’m a junior at CMC studying Data Science and Economics who’s originally from San Jose, CA. On campus, I’m the Director of Community Engagement at SOURCE, a research assistant at the Financial Economics Institute, and a Product Fellow at 5C Product Space. I’m also a part-time Product Management intern at EveryAction and am super excited to chat with everyone at the PEER Conference!

Hi everyone! My name is Annabelle Duflock (she/her) and I’m a sophomore at CMC from San Jose, CA. I’m a dual Biology and Literature major, and I’m a lead consultant at SOURCE, a tour guide at the admissions office, a member of 5C EMS, and I do Biology research with a professor at Keck!

Hi! I’m Eduardo (He/Him), a freshman at Claremont McKenna College hoping to major in Economics & Computer Science. I’m currently an Associate Consultant for SOURCE, a research fellow for the MGrublian Center for Human rights, and a member of Pomona Ventures. When I have freetime, I enjoy watching sports, running(have finished 4 marathons!!!) and trying new things. This semester I am playing Lacrosse for the first time!
