Hi everyone! My name is Athulya Nath (she/her/hers) and I’m from North Las Vegas, NV. I’m a sophomore at CMC majoring in Government and Philosophy with a Legal Studies Sequence. On campus, I’m involved with the CARE Center, CMC Advocates, CMC ROTC, and the 5C Women’s Volleyball team. For this year’s conference, one thing I’m excited for is meeting all the lovely people who signed up!

My name is Mohamad Moslimani and I’m a senior majoring in PPE! I’m from New York City, NY and am currently living in Las Vegas. While being the Student Manager of the CARE Center, I’m a residential assistant with the Dean of Students Office at CMC. This is my third year working on the PEER Conference. I hope everyone enjoys!

My name is Yesenia Rodriguez and I am a sophomore preparing for a major in International Relations and a sequence in Leadership Studies. I was born and raised in Philadelphia, but I currently am in the DC program interning for my home district representative, Congressman Brendan Boyle. Along with being a Care Center Fellow, I am also an Institute Associate at the Kravis Leadership Institute on campus. I am very excited for this year’s virtual PEER Conference as we have worked so hard on it all year. I am especially looking forward to speaking with our Keynote Speaker, Anand Giriharadas.

Hello, I am Neyda Cujcuj Xoyon, and I’m from South Central Los Angeles, California. Currently, I’m a third-year at CMC majoring in International Relations and Chicanx/Latinx Studies. In addition to being a CARE Center Fellow, I am part of the Jumpstart team, where we work with pre-school children. For this year’s virtual PEER Conference, I am really excited about our panel. We have some amazing organizations that are doing great work!

My name is Courtney Reed and I’m a junior majoring in PPE! I’m from Cleveland, OH and currently living in LA. In addition to being a CARE Fellow, I’m a consultant for the Center for Writing and Public Discourse and a small business owner. This is my third year working on the PEER Conference and I’m excited to see how the workshops engage our attendees!

Hi, my name is Sobechukwu (Sobé) Uwajeh, and I am a junior at Claremont McKenna College, majoring in Public Policy and Leadership Studies. At CMC, I am a member of the Track and Field team, Model UN Team, and Co-President of my Quest Bridge Chapter. I am a passionate advocate for Black, Latinx, low-income, and immigrant rights and this is my first year organizing the PEER Conference!

My name is Jennifer Bernardez and I am a junior majoring in Psychology and Computer Science.  I am from Seattle, WA and am currently living in La Verne, CA.  Along with being a CARE Center Fellow, I am Institute Lead at the Kravis Leadership Institute, an Admissions Tour Guide, an Asian Pacific American Mentoring (APAM) Mentor, and a First Year Guide on campus.  This is my second year working on the PEER Conference and I am so excited to hear from our guest organizations!

Hello everyone! My name is Guadalupe Valente (she/her/hers) and I am a Senior at Claremont McKenna College, majoring in Mathematics and Spanish. I am from East Los Angeles and am currently living in Montclair, CA. In addition to being a CARE Fellow, I am also a Residential Assistant and Vice President for 1Gen, our first-generation organization on campus. This is my first year volunteering for the PEER Conference.

Hello! My name is Janise Waites, I use she/her pronouns. I am originally from San Diego, California, but recently moved to San Antonio, Texas. I am a junior at CMC majoring in Government. I am currently in Washington D.C participating in CMC’s DC Program, where I take two classes, write a research paper, and do an internship. I am interning for Congressman Lloyd Doggett (TX-35) on Capitol Hill.At CMC, I am a First Year Guide, a CARE Fellow, a student assistant at Career Services, and the Vice President of the Black Women’s Collective. And this is my first year volunteering for the PEER Conference.
